DIFFERENT TYPES OF HANDLESETS
Handle-sets are a great choice for front doors because the offer a great lock and a deadbeat to boot.
How to describe a Door Handleset
Handleset, sometimes referred to as thumb press sets, are locks that come with a handle, passage entry setup and separate dead bolt above it.. Handleset are use on front doors of a residence and give a unique look. Most of these come with a single sided dead bolt, but these can be exchange to include a double sided dead bolt. We suggest these if your door is near a glass window, so if the window is broken a thief cannot reach in and unlock the door.
If you have a double entry door, you would buy a dummy set for the second door. Then you would have a matching pair. These dummy sets are the same as the real set but have a fake matching thumbpress and deadbolt
There is another type usually a little more money at that is the interconnected Handleset. The difference is with these sets when you press down on the inside lever or knob the dead bolt is withdrawn
